Culture Challenge: EVT wins!
The cluster around Ralf Möller, Martin Könneke, Alexander Probst, Michael Hügler, Markus Huth and our representative Thomas Trabold won the BMBF-workshop ‘Culture Challenge’! We are happy to obtain one year of funding. Afterwards there will be the possibility to apply for another few years of further funding.
After to days of brainstorming the idea was built up: Kultivieren mit Tiefgang (Cultivation with draught). The task will be to offer living conditions as near to the reality as possible to microorganisms out of extreme habitats. Therefore biologists and engineers will work hand in hand.
We are looking forward to this interdisciplinary project!
