EU-Project SolBio-Rev: Pilot plant visited at project meeting
From 30 November to 1 December 2023, the project partners of the EU project SolBio-Rev met at the Chair of Energy Process Engineering in Nuremberg to present the current progress of the project. They also visited the pilot plant in Erlangen, which will start test operation in the coming weeks.
The EU project SolBio-Rev is developing a new building energy system that will cover the majority of buildings’ heating, cooling and electricity requirements. The system is based on solar energy and wood pellets. A reversible heat pump is the centrepiece for the provision of heating, cooling and electricity. In order to analyse the influence of different climatic conditions, two systems will be set up and operated in Erlangen and Athens.
